St. Patricks Day

There are few days in the calendar that are marked with worldwide celebration, nostalgia and party atmosphere. St. Patrick’s Day, March 17th, celebrating the patron saint of Ireland has become one of those days. This can also be a day when many reflect on what it means to be ‘Irish’! Those who live far away from the emerald isle or whose ancestors came from her shores, use this day as a day to fell connected again to Ireland but also to the Irish family living all over the world

It is interesting that Ireland’s patron saint’s day has been chosen for this. At times in amongst the parties, the parades and celebrations it is easy to forget who St. Patrick was and what he stood for. It is also easy to see Ireland through rose or emerald tinted glasses.

Prayonstpatricksday.com affords an opportunity to stop and reflect on the life of Ireland’s patron saint and what he stood for. It affords an opportunity for all who have any affinity to the island of Ireland or love for her, to pray to the God of St. Patrick for her future. That God would bless the people of this island wherever they are and that they would know in a deeper way the God who inspired their patron saint so many centuries ago.

So join in praying on St. Patrick’s Day 2006, Friday 17th March. If you can pray even for short moment on this day, it would be great to hear from you. Register your details – Become one of the thousands who will pray on this day.

Every Blessing from Ireland
